Outdoor Leadership Experience    The Pine River Institute has engaged the services of Project D.A.R.E., an organization with a strong record in providing safe wilderness experiences for high-risk youth, to provide the physical infrastructure and risk management for our therapeutic wilderness program.  A guide from Project D.A.R.E. ensures the physical safety of our group while Pine River O.L.E. staff ensure their emotional and psychological safety.  All O.L.E. staff are trained in crisis de-escalation and have certifications in wilderness first aid and bronze cross. 

Residence   The physical environment at the Pine River Institute facility has been enhanced to increase the safety of our students.  All Pine River staff have Standard First Aid and CPR certifications, are trained in crisis de-escalation, risk management, emergency procedures, and have undergone a comprehensive background check.
