Pine River Foundation raises and stewards funds to support Pine River Institute as a Centre of Excellence in care and research. The Institute was founded by a dedicated group of visionary volunteers and donors who raised the funds to open the first comprehensive, family-centered treatment program for troubled teens in Canada in 2006. Committed to treatment, research and evaluation, Pine River Institute helped to change public policy, and the program is now supported by two provincial ministries, and helped pave the way for more treatment facilities in the province.
Pine River Foundation supports excellence, integrity, and innovation in the study and practice of adolescent mental health and substance abuse treatment through training and education, professional collaboration, and outreach. We nurture long-term relationships with our alumni families, and with the professional community in Canada and beyond.
The generous support of our donors sustains everything we do to ensure that youth struggling with mental health and specifically substance abuse, and their families, have access to the best possible care and services.
Pine River Institute offers help for troubled teens in Ontario, Canada. Many parents looking for advice for troubled teens or searching for boot camps, alternative schools, addiction treatment, counseling, wilderness programs, residential treatment centres, boarding schools, or therapeutic boarding schools come to Pine River because we offer help for troubled teens.
